Due to recent changes in the layout, backend, and feed on Facebook pages, enter: new media has put together the following notes to help our clients and personnel better understand how this could potentially affect their current pages.
-Administrators now have the option to leave comments and post as their brand, or as their personal profile. Brands are now able to “Like” and leave comments on other people/company profiles as the brand. This type of “cross-personality” behavior will be monitored, to ensure correct brand affiliations and reputation.
-Facebook now gives administrators the opportunity to block negative, harmful, or offensive words. This is a gain for all of our brands, though a third party service is still required to track brand sentiment, as well as alert the Administrator of off-brand content.
-The Administrator of the page can now be visible to other viewers of the page. This gives the brand a face, which could be good for personality, but bad for the person themselves if negative fan interaction is directed at their personal profiles. We will use this feature with caution and continued discretion.
-Photos at the top of the page can be creativity utilized to benefit the brand. This is an exciting opportunity, as more space to grow brand identity is always welcome, and social media is becoming more visual.
This announcement coincides with the news that Facebook will be integrating iFrames into their backend. We are aware of this change as well, and will keep you abreast of any information regarding this news. We hope to find the inherent opportunities in all of these changes, and we thank you for your continued support as we manage these efforts on our side.
Please do not hesitate to reach out, should you have any questions.
Warm Regards,
The enter: new media team.
